Meet the Team
Brad Skinner is thrilled to serve as the executive director of Escalante at Coventry Senior Living. Brad has a passion for working with seniors and looks forward to getting to know the residents, staff and families at Escalante at Coventry!
In his free time, Brad, a Utah native, loves spending time with his wife Melanie and their four children. He has a passion for sports, especially baseball, football and golf, and has coached his son’s Little League baseball and football teams for the past decade.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Ashlee LaCharite is Escalante at Coventry’s director of Sales and Marketing, having worked in geriatric health care for eight years. She began her career after graduating with her bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University, Long Beach, and realizing her love for helping seniors. Ashlee has held various roles in her career that have given her a broad knowledge base to help and support seniors on their journey of finding the perfect senior living community. Having been a part of the Escalante at Coventry team for over three years, she looks at our community and residents as her home and family away from home.
Originally from Southern California, Ashlee has lived in Utah for five years and has thoroughly enjoyed her time in the state so far. In her free time, she enjoys camping and riding and racing off-road motorcycles.
Community Relations Coordinator
Keith James has been with the Escalante at Coventry family since October of 2020 and has had a variety of responsibilities. Initially starting as a concierge, he was promoted to lead concierge in 2023 and held that position for seven months until he moved from Administration to Sales and Marketing as our Community Relations coordinator.
In this position, he works alongside our director of Sales and Marketing, focusing on guiding, acclimating and serving residents and their families from move-in until move-out. Simply, Keith enjoys people, and seniors have a very special significance in his life. He believes seniors have lived vast and varied lives with amazing stories, experiences and wisdom to share.
In his free time, Keith enjoys traveling as well as gardening, a passion he developed from his grandmother, another one of his favorite seniors.
Vibrant Life® Director
Patti Rushton serves as the Vibrant Life® director for our Assisted Living neighborhood. She has years of experience in health and wellness and is also a certified yoga instructor, specializing in seated senior yoga. Patti is an artist, an enthusiast of nature, pet-lover and more; she infuses these passions into her role, teaching a variety of art classes, hosting education classes on nature and the environment, and coordinating pet therapy visits from farm animals and therapy dogs. Often known around our community as “The Fun Lady,” Patti keeps our residents busy playing games, building relationships and having fun.
Vibrant Life® Director
Aubree Barlocker has worked in senior living for over eight years. She began her career as a certified nursing assistant and moved into a director of Activities role before landing as our Vibrant Life® director. Aubree says her favorite part of working in senior living is getting to know the residents and their families, while building strong connections and relationships with them. She is passionate about planning fun events and bringing out the creativity of our residents.
Resident Care Coordinator
Michelle Parks, R.N.
Director of Nursing
Michelle Parks has been a registered nurse for nearly 20 years, with over five of those being focused on seniors. She loves working with seniors and establishing relationships with our residents. In her free time, Michelle likes to spend time with her boyfriend, two sons and Boston Terrier, Bella.
Culinary Services Director
As Escalante at Coventry’s Culinary Services director, Chris Axbom aims to serve dishes with flavors inspired by his global travels to France, Scotland, England, Mexico and more. His culinary career began early on, and he is inspired by his parents and their love and respect for quality and tradition. After attending the Culinary Institute of Las Vegas at age 19, Chef Chris sought opportunities to further develop his own creativity. His dishes have earned acclaim from journalists, and his Alfredo sauce is award-winning.
Outside of the restaurant, Chef Chris works with the local men’s shelter and homeless support centers through their volunteer cooking program. This program provides nutritional resources, tips and recipes for the caregivers and residents of these centers, allowing him to channel his culinary expertise to help those in need.
Business Office Director
Suzanne Ellison serves as the Business Office director at Escalante at Coventry. She joins the team with over two decades of experience in human resources for the health care industry. She received her bachelor’s degree in human resources from the University of Phoenix. Suzanne is skilled in recruiting and staffing and has experience working within the senior living industry.
In her spare time, Suzanne enjoys camping, fishing and spending time on the Oregon coast with her family.
